matthewarcilla@gmail.comI'm a former Japanese pop star in exile for being too cute for my own good. I also used to be a model in Hong Kong. Now I live in the Philippines and am often mistaken for one of the many Korean immigrants. Fear me, for I am the ultimate transient postcultural Asian.

What people are saying about Experiment Ego's Livejournal:
It's currently in vogue to list down one's LJ policies, so I guess I'll go ahead and do mine:
Your livejournal "user name" & what it means:
There is no high minded meaning to my lj username, it's just two words, "experiment" and "ego" that form a synergistic whole affecting pretentious erudition and exudes a sense of perceived postmodernistic identity. And by perceived, I mean, none. There is no there, there. How postmodern!
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your livejournal represent who you actually are?
It varies between 0 and 10, depending on how hard I'm willing to yank the chain with my posts.
Is there anything you refuse to post about?
I refuse to post about your grandma, mainly because I don't know her.
On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others?
My LJ is only interesting to people who are smart enough to not use number scales to quantify astract values that cannot be quantified. It's also interesting to people with a good sense of ironic wit and the ability to take things with a grain of salt or share my penchant for really acerbic humor.
Has anything on LJ ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something?
Foo! Information technology does NOT change lives!
Do you prefer to write in your journal, read other journals?
This journal is mostly to entertain other people, even if my audience is like, completely mismatched with my content.
Is your "significant other" on LJ?
Yes. We both keep more than one journal. And please don't say "significant other", it sounds like a schizophrenic thing.
On a scale of 1-10, rate the lj for convenience, usefulness, and coolness factor:
x+y/2

What people are saying about Experiment Ego's Livejournal:
This is now a mostly public journal and is designed to house a great number of entries where I pretend to be a stupid person pretending to be a smart person as well as random posts of acerbicness.sssnarlene says, "I bow my head in tribute to the freshmaker of the universe."
coathangerwings says, "Anything we say can only be redundant. We were rendered speechless and we bow to the greatness that is your verbosity."
glendaplatypus says, "You pursue what you love and exhaust everything you can from them. You are also a big fat bitch and ... most of all, you are a girly whore who likes masturbating on LJ. Sometimes, I have funny images of you dancing Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance in my head."
It's currently in vogue to list down one's LJ policies, so I guess I'll go ahead and do mine:
There seems to be a great disjunction between the my personal view of this journal and the viewpoint of others.Excerpts from a survey:
First of all, feel free to add me to your friends list, Yahoo! or AIM Buddy List. I will not get offended because I was added "without my permission" or because I don't know you. On the contrary, adding me strokes my ego and makes me feel that somehow, my blather is not like a tree that falls down for nobody to hear.
For me, the friends system works more as a reading list than some kind of elitist system of inclusion in which some people are "in" and some people are "out". I hardly make many friends only posts at all, so what you see here is what everybody sees.
On the other hand, I don't "automatically" add people unless they're writing or discussing something of interest to me. Even people I hate are worth reading and even my best friends aren't great reads.
If any of my posts amuse you, feel free to link it or drop it around. I will not demand you ask for permission to dispense my pithy gems of pop cultural wisdom.
Feel free to comment, whether or not I've friended you or I've ever commented on your journal. I enjoy feedback, discussions, conversations and even silly exchanges. The comments page is not some sacred space to be participated in by only the inner circle but rather, it is a public forum. If you have something fun or interesting you'd like to chime in, feel free.
